i needed to update the BF3 installation on my new laptop but the download kept failing , so i copied the files from my desktop.

how to manually update BF3 after a reinstall multi system update without downloading the massive 4GB patch.

copy the contents of this folder to a USB drive or DVD.

C:Program Files (x86)Origin GamesBattlefield 3Update

New battlefield 1 patch

then copy it into the newly installed BF3 or other systems folder , open origin and click repair install, it will download a few files to fix the missing content it needs, took me 15-30min to update it on my Laptop after i did that .

note: it will try to download the 4GB patch when u open origin after u copy the files, cancel it, click repair install, it will show something like downloading 140/133.4MB remaining , let it finish and update.

since DICE is not releasing a offline Patch and my internet speed sucks if i ever wana do a clean install, this is the only method i could work out and it works :) , played a few games and everything seems to work.
