Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Overall Review: fantastic combo price... Good Job new egg
Pros: Worked out of the box, cheap!, nice layout and pretty quick for an older system.
Cons: CPUs are very expensive if you want dual core for what you get.
Overall Review: I wanted to build my mother-in-law a new system for xmas on the cheap. I canibilized two older systems and bought this mobo and a new micro case. I managed to build a very nice quick system for little money and she is very happy with her xmas gift.
I would buy this again.
Pros: works as it should.
Cons: not many available CPU's worth using on the board.
Sempron..give me a break!
Pros: Easy to deal with BIOS. Both in configuring and upgrading.
Cons: Not well supported in linux systems.
Might as well ignore the PCI x16 E slot. Incompatible with all but a few video cards. (And they don't make those anymore, you'll have to scrounge.)
Pros: Stable with XP I guess
Cons: ASUS has no support for VISTA with this board and upon calling their support team I was met with quite an attitude. I usually dont review products but im COMPLETLEY dissapointed.
Overall Review: XP = Ok
Vista = No
Pros: ASUS is always good with S3 onboard video. You have to download new S3 driver from S3 web site for XP and Vista in order to run it right.
Cons: S3 resolution cannot go higher than 1600
Overall Review: What do you expect from a dying out hardware.
Pros: On Board VGA, Support for Turion Mobile processors. PCI-X Slot
Asus Motherboard Drivers Download
Cons: For older chips only. Uses a now outdated Socket.
Overall Review: Works great with my MT-37 Cpu. Made for a quiet machine.
Drivers Download
Pros: None for this board.
Newegg gets kudos for standing behind it.
Cons: This MB rejected all of the approved RAM I tried with it. Even Corsair. After finding some RAM that would allow it to get past POST, everything from freezes in WinXP to BSODs loop/reboots. Asus TS was useless, suggesting swapping RAM mfgs and slots.
Overall Review: I've used Asus boards extensively in the past 7 years, but the last two Asus boards have left a bitter taste in my mouth. Adios, Asus.
